the Ugly and the out of focus. We are sorting through them slowly.

Chester's Romans have Marched on Rome!

Chester’s Roman Heritage is now recognized across Europe and so are its Romans. We have been making a valuable contribution to tourism in Chester since 1997 by enhancing the visitor experience for thousands of people. Our tours of the city bring our heritage to life for children and adults alike.

#On 20th April 2008, Rome celebrates its founding with a thousand Roman soldiers marching through the city and ancient forum.

Only the very best Roman re-creation groups in Europe had been invited to march once again as Julius Caeser once did through the heart of Rome. We, the Deva Victrix (Chester Guard), are honoured to be amongst them, representing the City of Chester, once the biggest and best appointed military fort in the northern half of the Roman empire.

WE NEEDED YOUR HELP!

We needed to raise £5,000 to be able to undertake this mission and we needed to do it quickly.

Our participation in the march generated a great deal of media interest and visits to this website were very high as a result. We decided, therefore, to offer businesses the chance to advertise on this page with their logo, all logo's are linked to their website in return for their generous donations to the cause.

We will be adding more about this soon but in the meantime, if you would like to know more, please complete an enquiry form or give us a call on 0870 2427337.

We look forward to hearing from you.
